Elsi Marie X Triple Threads Boutique
The Beginnings…
My collaboration with Triple Threads Boutique is inspired by a lot. To begin, Emma, Betsy, and I accumulated inspiration images. Our inspiration consisted mainly of stripes, maximalist interiors, and Palm Beach architecture. All this inspiration led us to our central theme; Classic Palm Beach Maximalism!
Creating the mood board that is featured is a helpful step when I create! It allows me to visualize the theme I am going for, and to ensure that my design development stays true to the central theme!
The Process…
After establishing inspiration I begin design development. I created a bunch of possible designs. Then Emma, Betsy, and I decided which designs we thought would be most successful and with ones were our favorites! We decided on the three sketches pictured to the left!
Then fabric was ordered and construction began! I always have so much fun creating new things! As I worked I developed favorites and made notes on how to make these samples even better when I begin producing them for you!
Final Products!
My favorite part of being a fashion designer is watching an idea in my head become something I can physically wear!
This collaboration consists of three looks. The Palm Set, The Cabana Stripe Set, and The Morrison Mini Dress! The Palm Set is made out of a luxurious chartreuse taffeta, and features white ruffle trim! The set consists of a sleeveless blazer-esque top and a smocked waistband high waisted mini skirt! This set is so adorable worn together and separately!
The Cabana Stripe Set is another very versatile set! Made out of vibrant pink and red stripes, it is perfect for the summer! The set consists of a top that features princess seam ruffles and an elegant low back. The skirt, made out of several yards of fabric shirred to create volume, is a showstopper! The functionality of this set, together or separate, allows it to be worn for almost any occasion! The Cabana Stripe Set is my favorite of these few looks!
Lastly, The Morrison Mini! This beautiful dress is created with a beautiful classic toile pattern that is a saturated pink! This pattern is so classy and perfect for the summer and spring! Two asymmetrical bubble ruffles create a unique and flattering silhouette that is great for any event!
